How to tie your Obi
When you wrap Obi with your stomach pulled in, Obi is held in place.

How to tie a Kaku-Obi (clam)
Fold one edge once at a length of about 20-30 cm. Wrap the Obi two times and tuck in the rest. *Close it tightly. Cross it as shown on the picture. From the circle mark, both ends should extrude to about the same amount (the wide, not folded edge may be slightly longer). Tuck in the Obi to adjust length
Put the wrapped part through the loop and pull it tightly. Place the folded part diagonally, as shown on the picture.
Lower the wide part and connect it as shown on the picture. Now turn the knot clockwise toward the back, thus reversing its position – that’s it!
*The belt may slightly be shifted to one side.

How to tie a Kaku-Obi (Otoko-Obi)
Fold half of the Obi’s length and put it on the right side of your body.

Fold the rest 2,3 times. The remaining part can be adjusted by folding lengthwise.

Pull the inner edge through the Obi and pull it up. Fold it outwards.
Fold this part in the middle, facing upwards. Place the part folded in 5, diagonally.
Wrap the doubled edge around, then fold it twice as shown in the picture. Put half of A into the Obi, just behind the part wrapped in 7.

It will look like a cross.
*Make sure that the hole is not too large when tying the knot.

How to tie your Maki-Obi 1
Fold your Obi to double it, and wind it from the edge. Wrap it around the waist, then reverse it when the front is reached.
Wrap it once more, then tuck it at the front (from above or below). Wrap the first edge upwards and tuck it.
Done! Take the part wrapped in 5, and place it diagonally.

How to tie your Maki-Obi 2
Fold your Obi to double it, and wind it from the edge. Leave the edge at the top. Wrap it around the waist, then reverse it when the front is reached.
Knot the original edge and that of the wrapped part. Done!
Hint
When adjusting the Obi’s length to the belt line, it can be nicely worn on the back.

How to tie your Fundoshi
Hang about 3m of the cloth from your left shoulder, pull it through the space between your legs, and twist it. While twisting it further, wrap the cloth around your waist from the right side and tuck it at the back.
Wrap the rest around towards the left side. If there is some part left, it may be cut. The whole thing seen from the front. The part in front of the shoulder is as it was.
This part is put through between the legs in front. The cloth is intertwined with the already wrapped part. If not fastened tightly now, it will loosen later.
The remaining cloth is wrapped from the bottom, now to the right side. The Fundoshi is tied! Move a bit to see whether it fits.

That’s it!

さらしのまきかた

First of all, put two towels that fold half on the chest. (top to under)

And roll the tower around the waist holidng the lower side of the towel.

Making the towel to two fold and slender then rap 2-3 times.
(The navel is mainly put on both sides)

Please adjust the number of towels by an individual physique.
However, it is considerably hot in the method of using this towel in summer.

Then roll Sarashi which is to half width. At this time, do not subtract the power.
Roll tight enough because it loosens if you do not rol enough. Tighten enough which make you
not breathe hard.
You roll once and repeat, then you could use either a large safety pin or put the last part inside the Sarashi.

If you want to make more tighten, you could use the vaporizer when you roll the Sarashi.
